College hockey’s Frozen Four doesn’t get anywhere near the attention given to basketball’s Final Four, but it’s still a pretty big deal for players, coaches and for college hockey fans throughout the country. The Spartans are the Cinderella among the four teams remaining because they weren’t expected to be here. Now, they’re two victories away from their first NCAA title since 1986.
Close to 20,000 fans will jam the Scottrade Center today and for the championship game at 8 p.m. on Saturday (ESPN). Boston College and North Dakota, teams with high-powered offenses, are considered the favorites.
GO GREEN!
