Just in from the Detroit Free Press:
Orchard Lake St. Mary’s senior guard and incoming Michigan State freshman Kalin Lucas broke his right ankle last Saturday, according to the Lansing State Journal.
Lucas was injured during a high school all-star game at Madison Square Garden, playing with fellow Spartan recruit, Redford Covenant’s Durrell Summers.
Lucas will not need surgery, according to the Lansing State Journal. An X-ray of the ankle showed no ligament damage.
It is unknown how long Lucas will be unable to play.
Lucas was named to the Detroit Free Press Dream Team, and was ranked by Scout.com as the No. 30 player in the country.
