Yesterday during the NFL draft, the Detroit Lions made a great choice picking former MSU quarterback Drew Stanton to join their team!
From Freep.com:
Lions president Matt Millen made his intention clear with one question to Michigan State quarterback Drew Stanton.
“How’d you like to come to Detroit and help me win some football games?” Millen asked Saturday.
Right then, Stanton knew the seven hours he had spent waiting to learn his fate had been worth it. Detroit was where he wanted to be “from the very get-go,” he said. He grew up watching the Lions, who play just a half-hour away from his hometown of Farmington Hills.
“I told him I’d love to,” Stanton said.
