Bay Area Big 10 Alums,

No matter if your football team is practically winless (Minnesota) or can’t seem to lose (oh those gosh darn Buckeyes) - you are cordially invited to come wear your Appalachian State gear and heckle some Wolverines…but watch out…they bite! Just ask Michigan State who is still recovering from last week’s defeat. Okay - okay…enough with the trash talk - us Hawkeyes can’t talk - we’ve lost to Indiana for 2 straight years. IN A ROW. We didn’t even know the Hoosiers HAD a football team! We’re hoping you will join us for some cheese (its the only way to get Wisconsin fans to show up) and beer (um…hello? we are from the Midwest…we all drink that, right?). We need Northwestern to show up because they will be picking up the tab. You know we’re all working for them somehow. Hey Illinois - will you bring Chief Illiniwek? Or is that inappropriate for happy hour? The Boilermakers round out the Big Ten - oh wait…Penn State, right? Are you guys even IN the Big Ten?

At any rate - we are 2 Iowa Hawkeyes who talked the owner of Schroeder’s into allowing SF Big 10 alums take over his German bar from 6-8 at the end of November for a private happy hour party. Come mingle and do a cheers with us as we toast to our friends back in the midwest. And yes…they will be freezing their behinds off. We promised our new German friend a strong midwest showing and to staff additional bartenders for that night. Pass on to all your fellow Big 10 compadres. Don’t let your school down. We hope to make these ongoing.
