Attention Bay Area Spartan Football Fans!

Mark your calendars, because you’re not going to want to miss this one!

On Saturday, August 30, 2008, the Spartans will be taking on the Cal Bears, in Berkeley, to kick off the 2008 Football season!

With over 12,000 MSU Alumni expected to be around the Bay Area that weekend, it promises to be a great event that everyone will remember for years to come.

Planning is under way for the many other events during that weekend that will happen alongside the big game. We will be following up with additional information about these events soon. If you would like to help plan any event during the week of the game - please let us know!

Tickets:

We are currently authorized to release 150 tickets for sale for the game. All seats are in the MSU section.

Pricing:

$65 each for Non-MSUAA paid members (limit 4 per household)
$58 each for MSUAA paid members (limit 6 per household)

This is only slightly higher than the face value of the ticket, in order to cover shipping the tickets from the University to us, and then shipping them on to you. Any residual profits from ticket sales goes directly to the your MSU Bay Area Endowment Fund (money to send a high school student from the Bay Area to MSU).

Tickets will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis and you will recieve credit ONLY once the money has been deposited and you have received confirmation of payment. E-mails or phone calls without payment WILL NOT BE COUNTED.

Once all money has been collected, we will send it to the University and you will receive your tickets as soon as we get them. If we are prompt in getting the money in, we might be able to get more tickets at that time. If we do secure additional tickets, we will post it right away to the e-mail list and the web site.

Two payment options:

1. Send your personal check or money order to your club treasurer:

Pam Dionese
4015 Camrose Ave
Livermore CA 94551
(925) 371-5459

2. Submit payment via Paypal, our account is prez@sfbayspartans.org

Pam will follow up with you to confirm your purchase in either case.

Any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

I live in the Stockton Area and graduated from M.S.U in ‘86 and I am taking my mom who graduated in ‘55. I wanted to know if there were any tickets left in the alumnus section for the Cal game; and if not, where that section is located so I can purchase seats close by.

    Thanks,

Jason, we don’t yet have the tickets so we don’t yet have the section number. When we have that we’ll post it. We also don’t right now have any extra tickets to sell in our section…

I have 4 extra tickets in the MSU section for the football game at Cal. I live in San Jose and work in Fremont. I only want face value for the tickets: $51 each, plus a picture of Davy Crockett killing a Cal Bear while wearing a Spartan Helmet. You may draw that yourself — no artistic judgments will be made. Cell: 510.798.1100. Home: 408.923.3821

I have a son who’s a Junior at Piedmont Hills High School that plays quarter back. He has been having trouble with his grades. We thought that taking him to one of the Cal games that this would encourage him to want to get focused in school. We need 4 tickets at a reasonable price. This would be his first time ever attending a College football game. We would greatly appreciate anyone who has tickets that we can purchase.
    Thank you,
    Marlene
