I will keep this short and sweet this week. The MSU Alumni Group will be heading to the The Stadium Pub in Walnut Creek this Saturday as MSU opens the Big Ten Season against Indiana University in Bloomington. The game starts at 9am PST and is on ESPN. MSU is off to a fast start and is rounding into shape as the Big Ten begins! In addition to that, there is also another reason to come to watch the games. MSU has for the first time in a long time, a viable player for the Heisman Trophy! So come on out to watch Heisman hopeful Javon Ringer run over the Hoosiers! We will also be having some prizes and giveaways for folks who come out, as well. See you on Saturday to help root MSU on to Victory!

Watch Party, MSU vs ND
September 17th, 2008 · Justin Bugajski · 2 Comments
After last week’s monsoon victory over Florida Atlantic 17-0, your 2-1 Spartans look to create their own luck against 3-0 Fighting Irish this Saturday!
Your Bay Area Alumni Club is planning a watch party on the peninsula to watch MSU battle ND. Game time at Spartans Stadium is 12:30 p.m. PST. The watch party will be at The Old Pro in downtown Palo Alto. It will get crowded so if everybody can get there well ahead of game time to secure seats that will be best. There are normally spaces upstairs on the second floor that are great spots to watch the game!
Just look for the GREEN Section this Saturday. On a personal note, attendance has been really low for some of these games, so let’s all come out to support MSU and let everybody know why it is great to be GREEN!
For those people who are interested in traveling from San Francisco to Palo Alto this Saturday, we want to try and take over Caltrain on the way down the peninsula. It’s only a short walk to The Old Pro and it sure beats driving up and down 101. We will be on the 10 a.m. Caltrain from Sf to Palo Alto to the game… so if you are interested in taking over an entire car, please contact me at prez@sfbayspartans.org
See you at the Old Pro on Saturday!

Happy Hump Day Bay Area Spartans!
With it being the middle of the week, with Friday being no where in sight, what better way to help get through the trials and tribulations of work than having to look forward to a football watch party this Saturday in San Francisco!
Join the MSU Alumni Group as it holds its first watch party of the year in SF at Greens Sports Bar. Come out to meet others and watch as MSU takes on Florida Atlantic this Saturday at 9am PST. Greens is a very cool bar just off of Van Ness in SF, and promises to be a fun event.
As always, if you are not able to make it and want to let others know where you will be to watch the game, please post it on the website so that others can come and root MSU on to a win with you! We will be giving away a few door prizes, and having some updates about our upcoming Big Ten Picnic on Oct 5th. So come on out and enjoy a nice little Saturday as MSU rolls to another victory.

Tailgate, Need Your Help
August 27th, 2008 · Justin Bugajski · 7 Comments
We need your help. The volunteer who was going to help us move the 10′ tables to the Anna Head parking lot Saturday morning had to drop out. If you have, or have access to, a truck that could carry these tables to Berkeley Saturday morning, please contact me ASAP at prez@sfbayspartans.org.
We are planning to be at Anna Head lot for the tailgate at 10AM. This is when the parking lot attendants are showing up, so that’s the time we’ll be there. With the game at 5pm, this leaves lots of tailgating time! We’ll be grilling some brats and hotdogs and have other snacks for sale.
There are a number of alum that have tickets available for the game. Check the comments on the site to connect with somebody if you need tickets.
The pub crawl starts 8pm Friday, there’s a big group confirmed to be attending which is awesome!
