Volunteer Opportunities
In addition to providing generous donations to our scholarship fund, we’d love to have you volunteer your time to help the MSU Alumni Club of the San Francisco Bay Area grow stronger!
Here are some ideas for ways you can help. Don’t see anything that suits you? Create your own volunteer position, we’ll take all the help we can get!
College Nights:
- Help staff and attend college nights at local high schools
- Instruct volunteers at college nights
Social Events:
- Plans and executes MSU Club events
- Maintains proper forms, trains and assigns volunteers to specific tasks on events
Mailing List:
- Maintain postal list by area
- Keep up with changes in the database
New Members/Volunteers:
- Contact inbound leads; be a mentor to this person, get them to the events and/or meetings
- Develop a welcome kit procedure to turn lead into team member
- Collect new member data at all events
- Plan new member recruiting events
- Communicate new member info back to e-mail team
Community Involvement:
- Student Mentoring
- Scholarship Fundraisers
- Charitable Causes
Marketing:
- Promoting the club during San Francisco based events
- Tracking web usage
- Recruiting new members to the club
Spartans Helping Spartans:
- Organize networking events
- Liaison with MSU placement services
- Establish a system for taking inbound leads
- Lead mentoring program
- Work with website to set up networking section
University Liaison:
- Maintains communication for each college at MSU
- Responsible for contacting MSU Development and Ralph Young
