Watch Party, Final Four

(Sing to the Motown hit “My Guy”)

“There’s nothing you could say to tear me away from Spartans.
Nothing you could do could make me untrue to Spartans.
We may not be the number one seed, but the Huskies will bow to our strength and speed.
You better be believin’ we won’t be defeated, Spartans!”

Congratulations Michigan State on making it to the Final Four!!

We play the UConn Huskies this Saturday, April 4th, and we have a great home court advantage with the games in Detroit. But, for those of us stuck out here in Sunny California, we need to band together and support the team from afar! So, come out and join your fellow Alumni for the road to the Championship!

Tip off is 3 P.M. PT, and you can meet us at Pete’s Tavern in San Francisco. It is large, full of TV’s and will allow us to get EVERYONE together in one location for such a huge game.

Pete’s is walking distance from the train. See you there!

Go Green!

Watch Party, MSU in the Elite 8

Their beak is weak, let’s clip them wings.
The red birds are DEAD birds, VICTORY we’ll sing!

Great to see so many Spartans out at the Watch Parties on Friday, let’s do it again tomorrow!

On Sunday, March 29th, our Michigan State Spartans play against the Louisville Cardinals. Time for some KFC – Kentucky Fried Cardinal!

Louisville is the #1 seed in our bracket, so it will surely be exciting. To keep your blood pressure in check, come out and meet up the Bay Area Alumni to support the team together with cheers and slappin’ fives!

Tip off is 11:20 a.m. PT, and you can join us at one of 2 locations: Pete’s Tavern in San Francisco or the Stadium Pub in downtown Walnut Creek. Since there is only two games and we will be the first to arrive when they open at 11 a.m we can get prime seating for this game!

Both locations are easily accessible by train with a short walk.

Also, for families, Pete’s also has a great menu and restaurant style seating for families as well. Small Children are not recommended, but older kids and teens are also able to get in. Some bring out the whole family and help root MSU on to victory!

If MSU wins this is going to be huge – MSU in the FINAL FOUR – in DETROIT! Talk about a homecourt advantage… So let’s drive it home to Detroit, Spartans!

Spartans Coming to Berkeley Saturday

Calling All Spartans!

You are needed in Berkeley this Saturday!

Every so often an event comes along where we really need everyone who bleeds Green and White to come together and help support our beloved Michigan State University. This weekend happens to be one of those events.

Your Michigan State Women’s Basketball Team shocked the world by beating #1 seeded Duke, propelling them into the Sweet 16 of the Women’s NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2005. This weekend, the MSU Women’s Team is facing the next test of this tournament right in our own backyard. MSU will be taking on the #4 ranked Iowa State Cyclones this Saturday at Haas Field house on the campus of Cal Berkeley.

The game will start at 6 p.m. and tickets are available for purchase through the Haas Pavilion Box Office (further details below).

Additionally, join the team, coaches, Sparty and the cheerleaders at the FREE PEP RALLY before the game from 3-4 pm at the Four Points Hotel in Emeryville! Get your photos with Sparty, and meet the entire team – wishing them well before they head over to Haas to play the Cyclones.

If you are planning to attend the either the Pep Rally, the game or BOTH please RSVP on our event page so others know you’re coming!

I humbly ask that you please try your best to attend this game. These young ladies have worked really hard to get to this point and with over 7,000 alumni in the Bay Area… we need to do our part to make this a pro MSU crowd. With the Men’s Team playing on Friday Night, the Ladies really need us to pull together to root them on to victory. The only thing that we ask is that if you do not plan on going, please let any other Spartans know about the game and direct them to our website or our Facebook site to learn more about the event.

Thank you so much for your time, and I look forward to seeing at least 250 people for this game!
