Watch Party, MSU vs Duke

We’ve made it to the Sweet 16! Let’s cheer our Spartans on as they face the Blue Devils this Friday.

We’re switching up the location this game to ensure that we have plenty of space for everyone to join! This location should be much more convenient for many of you as well. Come by BART, CalTrain, car, taxi or on foot… just get over to Pete’s! Kate will have TONS of MSU swag to hand out, so look for her when you get there (she’ll have a giant MSU bag full of goodies!)

Kate is working with the event coordinator at Pete’s to make sure our game will be on the big screen and we may even have some space reserved for us. See everyone Friday!

SPARTANS WILL. POWER Global Day of Service

Come out and represent Michigan State Bay Area Spartan Alumni on the SPARTANS WILL. POWER Global Day of Service, on April 13, 2013.

Time: 10:00am – 02:00pm
Date: 04/13/2013
Location: 50 Stow Lake Dr East, San Francisco
Age restrictions: All ages are welcome!
Organizing club: MSU Alumni Club of the San Francisco Bay Area
Club contact: Victoria Vandegrift / / 215-990-9318

We will be enhancing the butterfly habitat on Strawberry Hill (the tallest point in Golden Gate Park). We will be removing invasive weed, and putting in the native plant species that Swallowtails and other butterflies need to thrive!

In addition to enhancing the habitat we will learn about the butterflies that occupy San Francisco from Liam O’Brien, who is a renowned butterfly expert throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. All ages are welcome. If you would like to attend, please register on Michigan State’s website and RSVP to the Facebook event.

Special instructions: We will meet at Stow Lake Boathouse and walk over a bridge to Strawberry Hill. There is parking by the boathouse, but come early because it does fill up quickly. There is also always parking all throughout Golden Gate Park. Or be Green and take the Muni or walk. Please arrive 10 minutes early.

We would love to see each and every one of you at this exciting event!

MSU vs Michigan game watch party

Hey, remember that time when we beat Michigan by 23 points!? The Wolverines are in a tailspin, having lost 4 of their last 7 games, most recently to lowly, winless Penn State.

We will be watching at our usual spot, Amante. Wear your Green and White as we cheer the Spartans to victory! Invite your friends, as long as they are wearing the right colors.

Date: Sunday, March 3
Time: 1pm PST
Place: Amante
Host: Kate Ciungan

I hope to see you all there to support our Spartans! RSVP here.
