Upcoming: Alumni Club Board Elections

With the Fall football season almost upon us (the Summer is going by too fast!), we are also nearing the time to hold annual board elections for your MSU Bay Area Alumni Club!

We are looking for a few motivated and enthusiastic Spartans to help us grow the club in a variety of different roles:

1. President
2. Vice-President
3. Treasurer / University Liason
4. Webmaster / Communications
5. Young Alumni Coordinator
6. Social Events
7. Fundraising / Community Outreach
8. Membership / Career Services

If you have any interest in nominating yourself for one of these positions, please contact me or Katrina Hammer at your earliest convinience. If you are considering a position but not quite sure what work might be entailed, we can answer those questions too so don’t hesitate to ask.

Elections will be held at the end of September, details on more precisely when and where will be posted soon. Please do consider joining us for the coming year!

Club Elections: December 10

With the Presidental Election recently behind us, we need to turn our attention to the next most important election… The MSU Bay Area Alumni Board! It is that time of year again where we need to elect the team that will help take the MSU Club to the next level here in the Bay Area.

We are looking to fill the following positions:

1. President
2. Vice-President
3. Treasurer / University Liason
4. Webmaster
5. Young Alumni Coordinator
6. Social Events
7. Fundraising / Community Outreach
8. Membership / Career Services

The elections will be held on Wednesday, December 10th at 8pm at Gordon Biersch Restaurant in San Francisco along the Embarcadero, 2nd floor.

This process will only last an hour or so, so we promise to have you home by 9pm! The club really needs your help in order to expand and build on what the current group has started. This is a great way to give back to the University that has given us all so much.

Even if you are not interested in a position, please come out as all votes count towards electing the incoming board. The time commitment for this position is minimal and if we fill all positions, it would only be a few hours a month at most.

If you have any questions, please contact me at prez@sfbayspartans.org or if you are interested in a specific board position, you can always contact any of the current board members to get an idea of what goes in to the position. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to seeing you on the 10th!
