March Madness is Here! Friday, 6pm at Brick Yard

March Madness is finally here! Our Spartans have a #9 seed in the Midwest and play this Friday against #8 Miami. Game starts at 6:20pm PST and we will be at The Brick Yard to host a game watch. We have the whole back area reserved, and it is also St. Patrick’s Day so come early to get a spot! Drink specials will be offered, so come cheer on our team in their 20th consecutive NCAA appearance. #WinAndAdvance

Volunteer Opportunities + Game Watch Sunday

Volunteer Opportunities

Save the date on your calendars, April 8, 2017 for Global Day of Service! We’ve had great events each April the last few years and this year will be sure to be another fantastic opportunity to give back to the community while working alongside your fellow Spartans. More details to come as we figure out the logistics, but wanted to make sure it was on your calendar.

Also, if you are interested in stepping up your participation with the SF Spartans in 2017, we have lots of different kinds of volunteer opportunities for you. From leadership on the board, to helping at game watches, to running our social media accounts, to community service coordination, to planning our annual family picnic, and helping with our scholarship fundraising. So please raise your hand and jump in to help! Contact Justin to learn more. #SpartansWill

Watch Party, MSU vs Duke

We’ve made it to the Sweet 16! Let’s cheer our Spartans on as they face the Blue Devils this Friday.

We’re switching up the location this game to ensure that we have plenty of space for everyone to join! This location should be much more convenient for many of you as well. Come by BART, CalTrain, car, taxi or on foot… just get over to Pete’s! Kate will have TONS of MSU swag to hand out, so look for her when you get there (she’ll have a giant MSU bag full of goodies!)

Kate is working with the event coordinator at Pete’s to make sure our game will be on the big screen and we may even have some space reserved for us. See everyone Friday!

Spartans Advance to the Championship!

Kalin Lucas could have been considered overly optimistic or just plain delusional when he said after a 35-point loss to North Carolina on Dec. 3 that Michigan State would look forward to “the rematch” at Ford Field.

Prophet might be a better term for him now.

Michigan State defeated Connecticut 82-73 tonight before a crowd of 72,456 at Ford Field, sending the Spartans to their first national championship game since 2000. The Spartans’ opponent will be Villanova or, as Lucas indirectly predicted months ago, North Carolina.
